OK, I know the borders been closed for a while, but I’m feeling like the last surviving member! I know Skull is still alive and kicking. We text or chat once a month or more. Where the heck are the rest of you guys? I’m beginning to worry about y’all. Send up a smoke signal or something, let me know your OK.

Good question ibh, I’m still kick’in but had almost a month in the hospital but getting strength back as I was discharged 2 months ago. Was up at the range (7 miles from BC border last wk’ reader boards still read “closed to nonessential traffic”) last wk. I’m active just about everyday on another forum where there is a lot of back & forth daily & several of us get together each year for a rendezvous. I notice there are visitors on this site but no one seems to want to participate.
Unfortunately my trips to the bear woods have really slowed down (being 80+ makes a difference too) plus a couple health problems. Yes I like whine w/ my cheese. Grandson is 14, taking hunter safety & wants to go hunt’in w/me so I’m planning on both deer & bear tags this year. Took one of my old cowboy silhouette rifles & changed the load from a moderare tgt load to one stouter. My last bear(2012 British Columbia) was w/a 450 cast Bullet. This year I’ll be stay'in in WA state & trying w/cast lead but in a traditional 35 cal. Not a-bow hunter but have always felt welcome on this forum.
So ibowhntr61, what’s your plan for bear season 2021? Mine? Well in WA we are regulated down to spot & stalk, still hunt’in or stand (sitt’in over a food source...no baiting...stupid...just find a spot w/fresh sign). At my age stand hunt’n is what I do best....but still hunt’in was exciting. Got 1 on a hound hunt...man, that was exciting watching dogs work but was the most physical hunt of my life.

Spring seasons fell apart. Headed to Wyoming in October with a antelope and elk tag. Pick up a bear tag for good measure.
