I'm sitting here look'in at my smarter-than-me phone & that rare moment when a light goes on. There's gotta be an "app" (did I spell that right?) that allows me to sit on the couch watch'in the Outdoor Channel or the Mariners getting whipped while my phone is keeping track of what's happening inside my smoker out in the garage. Should would like to hear from you guys about this. (Note to Self: You gotta do a better job getting bear meat this year if you want somethun to smoke).

Oh Yeh ...They're out there SSwipe ! Just Google "Phone apps for bbq smokers "
I do know that there are smokers out there with remotes that basically do the same thing. A buddy of mine uses a high end smoker like that! Ironically he stopped me in a store the other day to tell me how good the Bear Roast was that I gave him to smoke.
Even the small Bradley Digital Smoker I have is pretty good. It's not remotely controlled, but you can separately program the cooking and smoking times and temps fairly well. it does seem to be an attention getter !
Just think of it as a High End Honey Burner!
