Sideswipe, friend of ours that lives in Redmond across from Microsoft, just texted the wife and said there was a bear in her backyard. We'd just left there!

Just got back today from helping some friends...bear hunting newbies...set up a site...their first. Probably too late for the spring but who knows...will be ready for fall though. Beautiful bear area and no stands with in many miles in this area....could prove to be a gem of a spot...great fun helping newbies...if it wasn't for friends I may never have hunted bear...but a dozen years ago another forum and new friends found on that forum got me hooked...passing it on I hope.

Butch Hey friend, you give way more back than you will ever take. You try to hide it but people notice. Good on you. "No good deed goes unpunished"

Hey Butch ...so glad you found your way back to us.
Nothing like the energy and excitement bouncing off a newbie. That sense of danger hunting something that can mess up your day pretty bad. The smell of human feces and urine in the air.
If I can't feel my heart beating out of my chest when a nice bear comes in ... it's time to hang up the bow.
Good luck to all who are blessed enough to participate in the Spring Hunt .

Thanks Tuk...kinda drifted away for no real reason...thanks to Roger my memory was given a jolt and I found my way back. The boys in NB are pretty excited...had a bear hit the site only 2 days after it was in...a completely fresh, first time site. They are pumped...cameras going in today...may be a trip back up very soon to join in the fun and help them process their first bear! I'll try to keep the site in the loop.
