Just curious as to when you guys find the bears start to roam around. Last year the first sign I seen was mid April. Looking forward to getting some cams out and will be throwing some bait out very early this year to see what is around.

Yeh that sounds about right Mack ! Give or take a week or so either way. If things warm and green up sooner they'll be out, but mid April is probably a safe bet.
The Big question is ... Are you going to take some time off to hunt this year . Seems you did a whole lot of work last year for nothing ! Did you even get out once last year to bear hunt ?

I haven't been out at all, just a Sihoulette match (don't want to take about it 😳). A cabinet installer was out to the house this Wed & said one ran across the road that AM. That would put it in NW, WA (8 Mar).

Was out twice. Seen a smaller bear but I was really wanting to get that big one on camera. Put a pile of work in to only hunt 2 evenings. This year I will be taking a month off work to hunt. So all that work was a learning experience I know what I'm in for this year.

They come out when grasses start growing, but they are not eating yet.
