I know this will come as an absolute shock to Lost Hunter but I finally got the Tuk Hut outta the box !
We were surprised at how easy it was to set up ... mind you the wind conditions did not favour us. When we got home we set it up again to dry it out... I'd say no more than 30 minutes add another 10+ minutes for the vestibule.
The Tuk Hut in its natural environment! Or as the Colorado boys call it ..." The Henpecked Hotel" .

Did you put carpet down chip? Did the wife get to try out the exercise pole? It's a nice tent and I hope you get to use it a lot. I think mines 10 years old already. Wait till you get the old wood burner set up and running.

Yep ...she's a 12 x 12 Alaknak !
Hey Henpecked ... was wondering how long it would take for you to respond ...Lol ! No Steve just didn't have room for carpet but I did put down a tarp first and bought the floor liner. It was only Kim and I in it so not to much traffic. Got the stove all seasoned and ready to go Buddy !
Was quite surprised how easy it went up , even for the first time, although the winds were a bugger. Set it up again at home to dry out and took us all of 40 minutes at the most.
Quickly realized taking the Grizzly on trailer and having to pack everything in the Tucson is going to be a 2 vehicle deal.

The carpet makes it pretty nice. Feels like home. Did the wife enjoy it?

Yeh Henpecked we both did. Great size for two hunters. Didn't have room to bring the stove ... that would have been perfect to take the chill at night.
Already scouting out for another spot to pitch it for a few days. Most likely make it a kayaking weekend.
