Here's a vid, although shaky shows a big ol spring bruin...both bear are nice but one was a whopper. When I first started hunting bears, not many folks did it around here....there were no forums to go to for help, or google searches. Most things were learned thru trial and error. Little things took seasons to understand, simple things that are now common knowledge amongst the greenest of bear hunter because of the ol' interweb. My one ace in the hole ( besides being young with a good back and good legs) was not too far from my camp there was a salmon smokehouse. They took all the heads and skins etc from the salmon to one spot for pickup, to be taken away and composted or something. Anyways, there was always a bunch of bears there.....I would often go up and just watch the bears for hours on end. It was a great learning experience, in fact, I remember one spring day learning that bears bred in the spring...I didnt even know that lol....but then again, why would I? I spent many an afternoon up there during the rut..... youtu.be/JK1fNrwRxT8
