made it up for 6 days to Northern NB. The days are long there and I sat stand from 10-14 hours each day. I saw 25 bears from 3 different stands. I was looking for a minimum 300lb 18 inch bruin and didnt see one....but I did have a sow bear up in my platform with me ! I had to use my bow to try and poke her back down....but she resisted lol....it was a could match of pushing(me) and her pushing back lol . Before I got nervous and sent her on her way.....her face was literally a foot or two from my face! I kid u not. I've got so many clip to sort thru it aint funny....however....here's a nice peaceful vid any bear hunter will enjoy. I hope to get back up before the season is over. youtu.be/mU4ZmoKo-co

Of course I couldn't watch just the one video. I just made my first You Tube subscription !
Pretty sure it was a bit of a dilemma being face to face 15 'in a tree. Maybe she had lovins' on her mind! Definitely a moment one never forgets!
Can't wait for the Memoirs to come out !

here's a neat little clip....turn up the volume.....in it you will be able to hear the sow popping her teeth on and off. We went in before light and moved bears off in the dark. we didnt know two of this years cubs scampered up a tree. They were dead silent the whole time. But soon as I climbed up my stand I could hear a bear popping its jaws and pacing back and forth. It would come in and leave. Circle and come back. Over and over. After about 45 mins I see these two little fur balls climb down. One thing about the spring....u get to see them as tiny cubs. There is a bit of dead vid in the middle ( bears just out of cam ) but you will hear the sow.....you dont really get to see how tiny these little guys are until they hit the ground....so id you have a spare 4 minutes this morning...watch it to the end.....never get tired of watching baby bears....... I'll likely keep doing it cuz its just in my dna, but it gets harder each season to draw the bow back on bruins......once you get to know them, and watch them from close range, they are an amazing animal that still do not get the respect they deserve...from hunters, dnr, or Gov imo.....but I dont wanna rant today hahah...enjoy the vid. If nothing else..that little bird ushering in a new spring day is worth listening too lol youtu.be/6HZePB1YMus
