The original Cedar Grove Camp was built in 1958. The present Cedar grove Camp was built in 2000 (on 115 acres of land) and my first real attempt at food plots was 2002, although I had the "Camp Plot" cleared in 2001. The "East" and "West Plots" were created in 2006. >Pete

Ahhhh ... I never get tired of seeing what's going on at Cedar Grove Camp ..Thanks so much for sharing Pete !
Judging by the antlers on that cabinet it looks like you'll soon need more " Shed Space" too. Lots of open grass here today after the mild spell but not for long ... more snow tomorrow, but the snow levels ready took a kicking with that wind and warm air. So far it's been a pretty good winter for the deer, here at least.

Hey Tuk, calling for 25 cm in the camp area tomorrow.....I hope that is wrong, the deer need a break this winter. But, the long range looks warm next week. The two bigger bucks lost their antlers before the snow, so it will be after the snow disappears that anything else is added to the shed pile. >Pete

Yeh we're on the fringe of this one Pete , but unlike last year we've had some thaws so snow levels aren't too bad here. We're into the down slide to spring now. Last year was the exception to the rule when it comes to our winters. Any deer I've seen look to be in pretty good shape, so if the mild trend continues the deer will fair good.

Pretty nice setup Pete. Imagine it takes a lot of upkeep but what a prize! I think if I had a setup & managed to survive on retirement, I would run the risk of forgetting to come home after the season ends. Jane would have to move in w/me & put the house up for rent.
