I tack weld on 6 to 8 ... 1/4 inch nuts to the box face. This allows removal of the points for transportation and installation. I cut threaded rod 2" long and insert one end into a drill. Then I spin that rod against a running bench grinder ... makes needle sharp points. I've had lots of bears fog the camera but they just seem to know ... don't touch! I attach the box to the tree with 2 #12 self tapping screws and of course an anti-theft cable for 2 legged varmints.
I run about 8 cameras every season and have NEVER NEVER had one .... bear vandalized.
