So hard to judge these guys ! If it stood straight up, "he'd ?" be about twice the height of the barrel which puts him handy 6"+. The hind end doesn't look that thick and it's front end looks like the legs are tucked back, but still appears thick thru the chest... So hard ! ...
I'm going to go with 347 lbs and that's a firm guess at best. Reminds me of the Benny Bear that had my arrow in it. It was well proportioned so the size was deceiving. Mind you every time Benny told the story it seemed to gain 25 lbs.
What say you losthunter?

I KNOW! I paid about $50 or more for each of my 440 lb scales that are similar in function. I rigged them up back to back and then add the 2 weights together. and they are accurate. I think I weighed everyone in camp just to prove it.
Sooo like I said - there's no excuse not to weigh a bear anymore.
I have a 3 gal square bucket - "my bear process pail" that has
a 1 ton chain fall, 8 screw-in climbing steps, 10 feet of 1/2" rope, a nylon sling, my scales, and a 15 foot long 3/8" car tow chain.
right where the bear falls we take pictures. then find two close trees. we screw in 4 steps and climb up high and hook the tow chain around. then we go to the other tree add 4 more steps there and hook the other end of the tow chain around that tree. like a chain clothesline up about 10 feet off the ground. we attached the chain fall on to the tow chain- put the rope around the bear - add scale and up he goes. everything comes out in the plastic bear pails or on the bike if possible.
works great especially if you hunt alone or with a partner. anyone can get out a 300 lb bear - what if you get a bigger one. you're screwed
you need to plan ahead and be prepared - just like being prepared with your bow or gun.

For me weight is more of a curiosity but a decent set of scales would be nice . I'm definitely going to have to follow up on this!
I noticed that it says it does not ship to Canada but to contact Seller for Shipping details.
If not I may be calling on my "Ole Buddy" Sideswipe for a bit of assistance! Oh Brrrruuuuuce !
