It’s nice to have a cordial, informative place to come and share. Just got insulated for the last time on Bowsite. A vulgar, rude thread was going on of all things, Roe v Wade. I ask what any of that had to do with bowhunting. Went downhill after that with the insults and name calling. Life is too short to hang out in places like that. Don’t have to, not going to. Thanks again for putting together a forum that we can all come to, share, ask questions and enjoy. Thumbs up my friends!

I couldn't agree more ib61 ! Life is way too short and getting shorter! I'm not a big Facebook follower for the same reason. I think I have 38 Friends and they are all fellow hunters or friends that I trust.
Bentlimb ( aka BEA) is my whole reason for this forum .I was a big follower of his on Bears East Adventures - as were 1000 plus members. I said to him that I try to keep this forum going , hoping that people will get tired of the insults and ridicule that seems to dominate a lot of Fakebook conversations. When "Fakebook" hit the scene he thought the that forums were going the way of the Dodo, so he dropped the forum. Dec 31 (2015) I found out the site was gone . By Jan 02, 2016 BQO was online - not knowing the first thing about setting up a forum of any kind.
I have coined the phrase " Computard " ... for those of us who are feel that they are "Computably Challenged".
I see we have a lot of legitimate viewers but no one seems to want to join or at the very least participate. It's frustrating, I've worked hard to try and provide a lot of info to help new and seasoned hunters. I continue to hope that something that they have learned here has helped them harvest their bears, and they will respond in kind with their own observations, experiences and stories ! Rest assured I do take offence to any such conduct that is considered abusive, demeaning or condescending and it won't be tolerated on BQO.Any such individuals will be banned from the forum and their comments stricken from the record.

I agree. with you both. Its an angry bitter world right now. In my near 63 years hanging around folks....Ive never seen anything like it. The agree to disagree on certain subject matter no longer exists. Such a shame.
I've always managed to thread the needle. Most of my life has been around hunters. I've met somne of the finest folks in my life thru this lifestyle. Often we had diff views on many subjects. The common denominator was the love of the woods and hunting. It superceded all else.
Thats still the case for the folks I hang with and call friends... for the most part. The people I often associated with, but wouldn't consider close friends I suppose, Ive lost many of them just thru differing opinions on what might make this world a better place. Crazy really. But life goes on.
Ive hopped off facebook. I think my days are better for it under the current state of affairs. I keep in touch with freinds via other means . Which is one reason I jiumped backed here. Forums are more cumbersome than many other platforms . No doubt about that. But if its a place where we can come to share hunting/conservation without bickering ( and worse) well....sign me up.
Moving forward as they say.
