I've read extensively in my education as a bear hunter, but here are a few that stood out as favorites.
"Walking with Bears" by Terry DeBruyn. A very insightful look into the lives of three generations of Black Bears by the researcher who followed them through their daily meanderings. Not a hunting book, but a must read for anyone interested in the life and habits of the bear, with plenty of information that can assist the hunter.
"Black Bears, A technical and hunting guidebook" by Bob McGuire. And older publication but one with insights into baiting beyond the norm.
Just about anything bear related by Richard P. Smith. Michigan native who has studied and pursued Black Bears across North America.
